Beach House Inn is located on Pleasure Island in the town of Carolina Beach, just south of Wilmington in southeast North Carolina . The Island consists of three distinct communities: Carolina Beach, which is located on the north end, Kure Beach in the middle, and Historic Fort Fisher on the south end. Our area is a great place to come relax and enjoy the charm and slow pace of the beach.

We are convenient to fishing charters, cruises, golf, mini-golf, a family fun park and family restaurants. Also enjoy year-round fishing from the beach, or from two nearby fishing piers. The kids will enjoy the North Carolina Aquarium. If history is your thing Fort Fisher is to our south and also check out historic downtown Wilmington and the USS North Carolina.

March 17th-------8th Annual Steve Haydu Low Tide Run

This race is a tribute to two truly amazing men whose paths crossed in Carolina Beach. The 10K Run starts at Harper and Canal Sts, the 5K Run at 213 Cape Fear Blvd and both end on the beach in front of the Boardwalk. This is a Flat PR course with USTAF Certification.

The Festival is a celebration of Wilmington's exceptional artwork, gardens, rich history and culture during its five days of entertainment that includes a parade, street fair, circus, concerts, pageantry, and all that is Southern. Call 910.794.4650 for more information.

April 14th-----------Pleasure Island Chowder Cookoff

Attendees can enjoy and vote on chowder from various restaurants and groups. In addition to serving up the area's best chowder, this daylong event includes live music.

April 14th-----------27th Annual Carolina Beach Music Festival

Listen up all you "shaggers" and beach music aficionados, this is your chance to dance barefoot on the strand or just sway to the beat while standing in the surf. Held the first Saturday in June, the Beach Music Festival hosted by the Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce is billed as "the biggest and only beach music festival actually held on the beach on the North Carolina coast". You can access this festival via the Carolina Beach Boardwalk. The Festival gets rocking on Saturday with continuous live music.

Free Summer Fireworks  Will Start Memorial Day Weekend

Offered every Thursday evening starting Memorial Day Weekend. Stroll down to the boardwalk area or walk out to the beach to view the fireworks. Live music starts at 6pm at the Gazebo and the Fireworks show begins at 9pm. Day may vary with  Holidays. 

(Independence Day Fireworks Will Be Held On July 3rd in Carolina Beach.)

Free Summer Movies at the Lake  Will Start Memorial Day Weekend

Offered every Sunday evening starting Memorial Day Weekend. Bring the family and a blanket or folding chair and enjoy a movie under the stars. Shows start at dusk (around 8:45pm).

Free Summer Concerts  Will Start Summer 2012

Carolina Beach Offers free concerts during the summer season. Bring your blanket and chair and come sit outside and enjoy some music and the late summer afternoon breeze. Acts this year range from classic rock to blues, country and Jazz. Click link below for details.

Attention Fishermen:

North Carolina requires a license to fish in coastal waters. Anyone over the age of 16 is required to purchase a CFRL, however if you already have a lifetime freshwater license you do not have to purchase the new coastal waters license. You also do not need to purchase the new license if you are fishing from a pier or charter boat.
